A visible standard for the record.

Every record that publishes a numeric figure is reviewed by a named human before release. Non-numeric records — procedural notices, appointments, tender announcements — are captured, translated, and structured, and are published at a lower confidence tier without individual numeric review.

Source capture, translation, and field extraction are machine-assisted. Human review means a person has opened the original-language source, checked the published figure against it, confirmed the entity and jurisdiction tagging, and attested the record. Where the source is ambiguous, the record stays in pending review and cites the source without the underlying numbers.

Piste currently operates with a single reviewer. This is disclosed deliberately: a one-person review function has a known limitation, which is that it carries no second-signature check. As regional analyst capacity is added, this page will name each additional reviewer and their scope before their first attested record is published.
